PowderKeg Studios is looking for an intern!
We are looking for a student intern for immediate hire. If you are interested in learning the ins and outs of documentary production at a small studio with a film currently in post production, this internship is right for you!
This internship is a great opportunity to learn about documentary production (especially the editing stage) if you have little background in the field and want to gain some experience. The project you’d be working on is Exposure, the story of a group of women from the Arab World and the West, and their unprecedented expedition to the North Pole in Spring 2018. You can get more information from the film’s website.
Work would include:
-
General administrative support — printing, some transcription work, some office management tasks.
-
A large amount of audio project support — helping the Editor and Assistant Editor find sound bites and important scenes.
-
Working closely and directly with the small PowderKeg Studios team — we consist of the Filmmaker herself, an Editor, and an Assistant Editor, and you’ll be learning doc production from inside a small and intensive environment!
The internship begins January 2019, 1-2 days per week. We can offer college credit.
Please send along your resume, as well as a cover letter explaining why you are interested in the position and how you are qualified, to associate@powderkeg-studios.com.
